Get To Know A Buckeye Newcomer | Sina Schwinn

Share

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sina Schwinn has signed a national letter of intent to further her academic and athletic career as a member of the Ohio State field hockey team, head coach Jarred Martin announced.

Schwinn played for HTC SW Bonn Field Hockey club since 2016 and was a West Germany junior national team player from 2013 through 2016. A West German Champion in 2016, Schwinn helped her team to a 4th place finish at the 2018 German Indoor Championship.

“We are really looking forward to having Sina join the Ohio State Field Hockey team,” said Martin. “She brings both skill and speed to our game having played in the top league in Germany both indoor and outdoor.  Sina fell in love with the Ohio State experience when she found a place that matched her love for both hockey and academics.  Ohio State is amazing with what it offers for support and opportunity both domestically and internationally, so having Sina see that for herself was amazing.  I can’t wait to see what Sina does in her time here as a Buckeye both on the field and in the classroom.”
