Tickets for the Frozen Tundra Hockey Classic will go on sale at tomorrow at 10 a.m. and be available online, via the telephone and in person through TicketStar’s Resch Center box office.
The game featuring the Wisconsin Badgers vs. the Ohio State Buckeyes, slated for 3 p.m. on Feb. 11, 2006, is Lambeau Field’s first hockey offering.
Prices are as follows for the stadium bowl: $24 for adults, $16 for students (including college), $14 for children (under 12). Indoor and outdoor club seats are $45 for all ages. Purchases will be limited to eight seats per transaction to allow more fans the opportunity to obtain tickets.
Fans planning to purchase tickets on the internet should log on to www.packers.com, Oct. 19, for the direct link to order tickets.
Over the telephone, tickets can be purchased by calling TicketStar at 920/494-3401 in Green Bay, or toll free, 800/895-0071, from any other location.
Fans wishing to purchase tickets in person can go to TicketStar’s Resch Center box office location, 1901 S. Oneida St., in Ashwaubenon.
Green Bay and De Pere youth hockey groups currently are selling tickets as well, as part of their annual fundraising efforts.
Lambeau Field’s nickname, “Frozen Tundra,” will take on a whole new meaning when the Badgers and the Buckeyes face off. A portable rink will be set up on the north half of Lambeau Field. Fans are advised that due to the classic football seating arrangement of Lambeau Field, different viewing angles will exist for the hockey rink. Seats in the lower portion of the bowl will be closer to the action and provide a unique experience, but due to the lower viewing angle, a more limited view of the ice exists. Seats located higher in the bowl will afford fuller views of the ice.
The game also will serve as the U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame Game, with a portion of the proceeds supporting the Hall of Fame.
