COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State has added Bowling Green to its 2006 football schedule, giving the Buckeyes a 12th game and a seventh home tilt next fall. The Buckeyes and Falcons will meet Oct. 7 in Ohio Stadium.

“We feel fortunate to be able to add a team like Bowling Green,” said Gene Smith, Ohio State’s Director of Athletics. “When the NCAA approved a 12th game, our goal was to get another home game and to try to schedule a good in-state team in an effort to keep our education dollars in Ohio. Bowling Green fit that scenario perfectly.”

Next year’s meeting will be the fourth between the two schools. Ohio State has won all three of the previous meetings, all of which were played in Columbus. The two last played in 2003.
