Junior center Nick Mangold
On camp so far:
“As of right now we are just trying to get a feel for what’s going on. We’re trying to get our younger guys up to speed on what’s going to happen this week. We’re trying to get settled in for what will be happening once we put on the pads.”

On the offensive line:
“We have the potential to be a great offensive line. If we do what we are supposed to do we will be a great line. Everyone has to know what they are doing. We’re definitely doing a lot of things with our speed. We are moving really well.”

Junior defensive end Mike Kudla
On his expectations:
“I have high expectations for myself. I always have. I go out there and play has hard as I can and play to the best of my ability. I want to go out there and have a great season. That is the attitude of the defensive line and for the matter, the entire team. My standards are even higher and that is the way it has to be.

On his conditioning:
“I ran harder and longer that I have this summer. I know I am going to be out there on the field longer. This is a big summer for me and I wanted to go out there and do everything within my power to get myself ready physically.”

Senior kicker Mike Nugent
On camp:
“I really have a good time. It’s fun hanging out with all the guys and meeting the new freshmen coming in. Of course, you have to do your laps. It’s a lot of hard work but it’s a good time for us.

“I’m lucky because this is my fourth year doing this. I hope I can be an example for the new guys and be able to answer their questions. I remember when I came in here I was so confused. Everything was so different than it was in high school. It’s still the same game just a little different.”
