COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State field hockey team is competing in the T2D Spring League and wrapped up the first of two weekends of competition this past weekend. The league features eight teams and games are played in a round-robin format at four sites over two weekends. The other participants include fellow Big Ten teams Michigan, Michigan State and Northwestern, as well as Central Michigan, Kent State, Miami, and Ohio. T2D is a stick manufacturer who is the league’s trophy sponsor.

OSU, who won the title last season, tied Michigan State (1-1), Michigan (1-1) and Miami (2-2) in its three games Saturday and Sunday in East Lansing, Mich. The goals were scored by sophomores Jamie Gofgosky (Marathon, N.Y.) and Dana Greenhut (Bexley, Ohio), freshman Linda Haussener (Baden, Switzerland) and junior Saskia Mueller (Zuerich, Switzerland).

Ohio State travels to Kent, Ohio, April 15 for the third round of the league. The Buckeyes face Ohio University at 9 a.m. and Kent State at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Final round action will be played April 16 at North Turf Field on the Ohio State campus. OSU faces Central Michigan at 8 a.m. and Northwestern at 2:20 p.m. After the completion of round robin action, the top two teams will play in the championship game at 5 p.m. Admission is free.
