Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio State field hockey team kicked off its preseason camp over the weekend at the Buckeye Varsity Field.

Team report day was on Thursday and the team enjoyed a dinner together before officially getting things going on Friday morning with a conditioning test. The first practice of the fall was on Friday under an overcast afternoon.

In addition to getting started on the field, the team held its annual photo day/video shoot on Friday. The women got their headshots done and provided some well-thought-out celebrations for the video staff.

The Buckeyes will host two exhibition matches at Buckeye Varsity Field this week. On Thursday (Aug. 17), the Scarlet and Gray will host Ohio at 3 p.m. ET. Ohio State will then scrimmage Miami on Sunday (Aug. 20) at 1 p.m. ET to round out its preseason schedule.

Jarred Martin leads the charge for his first season on campus as the head coach. Martin comes to Ohio State from Duke University and will look to help the Buckeyes achieve a tremendous amount of success. The Buckeyes will host seven home games during the regular season at the Buckeye Varsity Field; all home events throughout the season will be free of charge.
