COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State Women’s Volleyball hits the pavement once again this weekend, heading north to take on Iowa and Nebraska Friday and Saturday night, respectively. Ohio State faces the Hawkeyes at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT and the Huskers at 6 p.m. ET/5 p.m. CT. The Buckeyes have dominated its series with Iowa over the years, owning a 57-9 edge all-time. While OSU trails Nebraska in the all-time series, 10-4, two of those victories have come in Lincoln, including 2012.

Taylor Sandbothe paces the Big Ten Conference with 1.52 blocks per set. Her blocking rate is amongst the nation’s elite as well, ranking 13th in all of Division-I volleyball. The Buckeye can also be found in the conference statistical rankings for points/set (4.20; 6th) and attacking percentage (.336; 14th).DOUBLING UP
Freshman Luisa Schirmer is contributing on both sides of the net, evidenced by her team-high four double-doubles this season with 10 or more kills and digs in each. Taylor Sherwin has three double-doubles of her own, adding double-digit digs to her assists totals. Erin Sekinger and Elizabeth Campbell have each chipped in a double-double this season as well.WINNER, WINNER, CHICKEN DINNER
Senior Alyssa Winner donned the libero jersey for the start of Big Ten season and responded with four digs per set, the seventh-best average in the conference. She ended the weekend with an exclamation point, picking up 18 digs in a three-set contest at Wisconsin.
