COLUMBUS, Ohio-Thad Matta, now in his sixth season as the head coach of the Ohio State men’s basketball team, put the Buckeyes through it’s final practice in Columbus before heading north to Canada for a three-game excursion. Ohio State went through 10 practice days in preparation for the summer trip that will feature two games against the University of Windsor and a single contest against Western Ontario. – MORE –

Buckeyes Open Season vs. Alcorn State
The 12-team field and schedule for the 2009 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer men’s college basketball tournament has been completed. Syracuse, North Carolina, Ohio State and Cal will serve as the four Regional Round hosts for the event. The tournament will begin with Regional Round action, November 9-12, with the four host schools automatically advancing to the Championship Rounds at Madison Square Garden on November 19th and 20th. – MORE –
