FB: Santonio Holmes First Buckeye to Win Super Bowl MVP
Former Buckeye Santonio Holmes was named Most Valuable Player of Super Bowl XLIII Sunday after leading the Pittsburgh Steelers to a 27-23 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Tampa, Fla. Holmes, who finished his career with Ohio State in 2005, had nine receptions for 131 yards and the game-winning touchdown in the final moments for the Steelers. – MORE –

FB: Abdallah Plays in Texas vs. Nation Game
Nader Abdallah, who completed his career as a defensive tackle for Ohio State in 2008, played in the third annual Texas vs. the Nation game Saturday in El Paso, Texas. The four-time Big Ten champ from Metairie, La., contribted a pair of tackles for the Texas squad in a 27-24 loss to the Nation. – MORE –
