BASE: Audio Double Play with Chris Griffin and Tyler Engle
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State junior centerfielder Chris Griffin and sophomore shortstop Tyler Engle talk to roving reporter Kendra Lee about the 2009 baseball season and more in the audio double play this week. Griffin, from Pickerington, Ohio and Pickerington North High School, has seen action in nine games so far, including in games last week at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome vs. Minnesota. Griffin is making the most of his opportunities for playing time: he is hitting .333 with three runs scored and two RBI. – MORE –

MTRK: Buckeyes Set to Dual with Michigan
COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State men’s track and field team welcomes rival Michigan to Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium this Saturday, April 11, for “The Dual,” the first home meet of the season for the Buckeyes. Saturday is the second match-up of the year between the schools. – MORE –
SB: Sam Marder Named Finalist for 2009 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sam Marder, a junior catcher on the No. 17 Ohio State softball team, was named one of 25 finalists for the 2009 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year earlier this week, as selected by the Amateur Softball Association of America (ASA), the National Governing Body of softball in the United States. This is the second-consecutive season the Calabasas, Calif., native has been named a Top 25 finalist for the award that is considered the most prestigious honor in Division I collegiate softball. – MORE –
