Ohio State Looks to Carry Momentum from Conference Win into Meet Saturday
COLUMBUS Ohio- After a big home victory vs. Penn State last Saturday, the Ohio State men’s gymnastics team has jumped up two spots to rank fifth in the GymInfo national poll as the team meets No.8 California at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. John Arena. The Buckeyes currently own a 347.175 team average after posting a season-high 353.6 against the Nittany Lions. – MORE –
Buckeyes Host Notre Dame to Open CCHA Playoffs
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State men’s hockey team (12-16-6, 10-12-6-4 CCHA) host Notre Dame (13-15-8, 9-12-7-2 CCHA) in the OSU Ice Rink this weekend in the first round of the CCHA tournament. The teams will meet in the best-of-three series at 7:05 p.m. Friday and Saturday (and Sunday if necessary). The winner advances to the CCHA tournament quarterfinals.- MORE –

Lavender Wins Third-Consecutive Big Ten Player of the Year Honor
COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State junior center Jantel Lavender was named the 2010 Big Ten Player of the Year for the third-consecutive year Monday by both the coaches and the media. She joins former Buckeye Jessica Davenport (2005-06-07) as the only three-time recipients of the award. – MORE –
