Columbus, Ohio – Ohio State women’s volleyball seniors Katie Dull and Anna Szerszen have been named ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District IV second team, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced.
Dull, a sports and leisure studies major, is a two-time All-Big Ten Academic selection and a three-time Ohio State Scholar Athlete. Szerszen is majoring in business administration and working in the master’s program. She is a three-time All-Big Ten Academic selection and a four-time Ohio State Scholar-Athlete.
To be nominated for ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District consideration, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative gpa. The nominated athlete must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s games and must be of sophomore or higher academic standing. All first team academic all-district honorees from each of the eight districts advance to the national ballot and are eligible for ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America honors.
Ohio State (19-8, 7-7 Big Ten) will host sixth-ranked Illinois at 7 p.m. Friday and face Wisconsin (15-10, 4-10) at 2 p.m. Sunday in St. John Arena.
