BUFFALO, N.Y. – Six Buckeye student-athletes represented OSU at the NCAA Track and Field Championships this weekend in Buffalo, N.Y. The dynamic duo of Dominque Calloway (So., Aurora, Colo.) and Donica Merriman (Fr., Trotwood, Ohio) received All-America laurels after finishing sixth (13.39) and seventh (13.44) respectively in the 100-meter hurdles.
Tamieka Porter (Sr., Escondido, Calif.) capped off a fine collegiate career, finishing eighth in the triple jump (42’4″). While competing in Buckeye garb, Porter has achieved two-time All-America status and holds the indoor school record in the event.
Sekou Smith (400 hurdles, Sr., Chicago, Ill.), Shanda McJunkins (400 dash, Sr., Cleveland Heights, Ohio) and Ayanna Reece (400 hurdles, Jr., Bronx, N.Y.) competed at the championships but did not advance to the finals.
