COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State diving teams qualified two more divers at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships Saturday at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. A total of five Buckeye divers have qualified for the NCAA Championships.

Chelsea Davis captured second on the women’s three-meter springboard with a score of 615.90 points. The junior qualified for her second trip to the national championships. Freshman Kristen Asman advanced to her first NCAA championships after she finished fifth on the three-meter with 580.25 points.

Freshman Bianca Alvarez also competed in the three-meter finals for the Buckeyes. Her score of 578.40 placed her sixth overall.

On the men’s side, junior Wes Wieser finished fifth on the one-meter springboard with a score of 657.10. Freshman Sean Moore earned seventh (639.55), while sophomore Ryan Jefferson took eighth with 630.30 points.

The men’s NCAA Championships will be held at Federal Way, Washington on March 27-29. The women will compete in Columbus at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on March 20-22.

Competition concludes at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion Sunday with platform preliminaries beginning at 11 a.m.
