COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State diving team participated in at the 2008 Speedo USA Diving Spring Nationals held in Minneapolis, Minn. April 16-20. Three divers qualified for the 2008 U.S. Olympic trials in three individual events.

“Our team had an outstanding week at Spring Nationals,” Vince Panzano, Ohio State head diving coach, said. “We saw a lot of great dives and I’m really excited for the athletes who qualified for the Olympic Trials.”

Chelsea Davis (3M), Sean Moore (10M) and Wes Wieser (10M) all qualified for the Trials with top-eight finishes in Minneapolis last week. That brings the total to six Buckeyes qualified, as Bianca Alvarez, Burkley Showe and Kellen Harkness were already qualified.
 
Additionally, four Buckeyes were selected to compete in upcoming Grand Prix meets. Burkley Showe was selected to the Canada Cup roster. He’ll compete on 3-meter and 3-meter synchro with Justin Wilcock in Montreal from May 1-4.
 
Davis, Moore and Wieser were selected to compete at the AT&T USA Diving Grand Prix in Fort Lauderdale May 8-11. Davis will compete on 3-meter and Wieser will compete on 10-meter. Wieser and Moore will also dive 10-meter synchro. Head Coach Vince Panzano was selected as one of the U.S. coaches.

The 2008 U.S. Olympic Diving Trials will be held June 18-22 in Indianapolis, while the Olympic Team Selection Camp is set for July 2-6 in Knoxville.
