Buckeye junior goalie Christian Frey set the program record for consecutive shutout minutes last weekend, blanking opponents for 197:06. His streak started at the 2:29 mark of the game vs. Boston College Dec. 28 and was followed by back-to-back shutouts against Cornell Dec. 29 and Wisconsin Jan. 8.

The Badgers ended the streak with a goal at 19:35 of the first period Jan. 9. The streak, which included 92-consecutive saves, topped the previous mark of 167:16 set by Dave Caruso in November 2005.

Time for a new streak! The Buckeyes begin a home-and-home series vs. No. 6 Michigan 6:30 p.m. Friday inside Value City Arena.
