COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State defense reigned supreme and retained possession of the scarlet jerseys in Saturday morning’s jersey scrimmage at blustery Ohio Stadium by a 78-24 score.

This was the third straight win for the defense in a jersey scrimmage; the Silver Bullets have held the scarlet jerseys since spring, 2009.

The only touchdown of the day was scored by defensive tackle John Simon, who recovered a goalline fumble by the offense. Garrett Goebel and Tony Jackson also recorded fumble recoveries, and C.J. Barnett nabbed an interception.

The only scoring plays for the offense were field goals. Senior kicker Devin Barclay connected from 35 yards and Ben Buchanan was successful on a 46-yarder.

After today’s jersey scrimmage, Coach Jim Tressel and the Buckeye seniors met with the media. Click the links above to watch Coach Tressel and to listen to some of the players.
