Columbus, Ohio – Ohio State men’s lacrosse sophomore Craig Nolan (Plano,Texas/Jesuit College Prep) competed in the Under-19 World Lacrosse Championships at Towson University in Towson, Md., June 27 – July 5. Nolan was a major contributor in Team USA’s tournament run, which was capped with a 19-10 victory over Canada in the championship game. The win sent Team USA’s title count to five consecutive in Under-19 play and extended the team’s win streak to 29.
Nolan was fourth on Team USA in goals with 12 and fifth in points with 14. Nolan’s strongest output came against England where he scored four goals and led Team USA with 10 shots. Nolan posted points in all six of Team USA’s games including four multiple goal efforts.
Nolan’s play with Team USA comes off the heels of a successful freshman season for the Buckeyes. He finished seventh on the team in goals with seven and ninth in points with seven. Nolan led all freshmen in goals, assists, points, shots and shot percentage.
