Connor Isings Gets Top Seed in 200 Breaststroke at Canadian Swimming Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Connor Isings, a freshman on the Ohio State swimming team, has earned the top seed in the 200 breaststroke at the 2018 Canadian Swimming Championships Thursday night.

Isings, from Beaconsfield, Quebec, posted a lifetime best 2:15.67 to qualify first this morning. Isings broke the Ohio State freshman record in the 100 breaststroke this season with a 52.79, finishing seventh at Big Ten Championships, and was 11th in the 200 breaststroke at 1:55.90. He competed for the Pointe Claire Swim Club which produced Buckeye great and 2012 Olympic finalist Sam Cheverton.
