Honed In On Hokies

Two-a-days wrapped up, coach Urban Meyer says most of team’s focus will now shift to its Week 1 opponent, Virginia Tech. The Buckeyes and Hokies are slated for an 8 p.m. kickoff Sept. 7 on ESPN.


Buckeyes Ranked No. 1

Coach Meyer will lead his squad into Blacksburg on Labor Day as the nation’s top team, according to the Associated Press. In unanimous fashion, the Buckeyes were chosen No. 1 over TCU, Alabama, Baylor and Michigan State.

Dating back to 1950, it’s the first time the AP Top 25 has ever had a unanimous preseason No. 1 team.

Black Stripe Update

Defensive tackle BB Landers, linebacker Jared Drake and kicker Jack Willoughby join fellow freshmen Isiah Prince, Mike Weber and KJ Hill as first-year Buckeyes to lose their black stripes.

Congrats to DT BB Landers and LB Jared Drake on losing their black stripes today. Go Bucks!

BTN Rolls Into Columbus

Big Ten Network’s fall camp tour is in town Monday. Dave Revsine, Gerry Dinardo, Howard Griffith and crew visit the Woody Hayes Athletic Center for Buckeyes practice as the team grinds toward the 2015 season opener vs. Virginia Tech.

BTN tour coverage from Ohio State practice will air 6 p.m. ET Tuesday on BTN Live. 


Four On ESPN All-America Team

A quadruplet of Buckeye juniors landed on the ESPN college football preseason All-American team Monday. Silver Bullets Joey Bosa and Vonn Bell join Ezekiel Elliott and Pat Elflein on the list.

Ohio State led all schools with four honorees.
