The Ohio State men’s lacrosse team wrapped up a busy alumni weekend on Sunday when it hosted its annual awards banquet. The event, attended by over 180 people that included families, alumni and 11th Man Club members, was an opportunity to recognize the Class of 2018 for its efforts on and off the field while also formally introducing the 2019 Buckeyes.
The event capped a weekend that included a record number of alumni participating in the ADA Lindner Family Memorial Golf Outing and the annual Odds vs. Evens game.

Most Improved Player: Josh Kirson
Ground Ball Award: Freddy Freibott and Ryan Terefenko
Sportsmanship Award: Colin Chell, Bo Lori and John Kelly
Outstanding Scholar Athlete: Jackson Smith
Community Service Award: Austin Seiple
Bice Unsung Hero Award: Hank Bethke
Each member of the 2018 squad received their golden Buckeyes for Ohio State’s 8-5 win over Michigan last April. This year’s senior class in the fourth to graduate with a perfect 4-0 record against the Wolverines.
On Friday night, alumni returned to the field and took part in the annual Odds vs. Evens alumni game, which this took place inside the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.
A record-number of hole sponsors, foresomes and tournament sponsors helped raise over $12,000 for the Lindner scholarship fund.
