Administration

Description:
The sports administrators are responsible for managing every aspect of their athletic teams, including the evaluation of coaches, hiring new head coaches, overseeing sport budgets, recruiting efforts, competition schedules, facility needs, fundraising efforts and helping coaches with the personal and professional development of their student-athletes.

Athletics Compliance

Description:
Within Ohio State athletics the office of compliance is charged with handling all matters having to do with academic eligibility, benefits, ethical conduct, financial aid, drug testing, and CARA. Business Office

Description:
The business office manages all of the financial aspects of the Department of Athletics and is responsible for ensuring all income and expenses and ensures compliance with University, NCAA, and conference auditing practices.

Camps

Description:
The camp office manages the full gamut of camp operations from processing registrations to organizing the camp schedules to managing the execution of a successful camp. Camp staff members are usually on-hand for registrations and assist with any issues that may develop.

Coaching

Description:
The coaching staff of The Ohio State University is the most integral piece in the success of our sports teams. They are the ones responsible for nurturing and leading student athletes to be the best people and competitors they can be. Outside of that, coaches are responsible for making sure their sports are well managed; overseeing team budgets, travel, and being the liaison to the entirety of the Department of Athletics.

Communications

Description:
The Athletic Communications office is responsible for helping establish communication between the athletic department and external groups to increase the awareness of and interest in Ohio State Athletics and to promulgate the activities and accomplishments of individuals and also Athletics altogether.

Creative Services

Description:
The creative services office develops and maintains the brand of the Department of Athletics through numerous forms of application (e.g., media, game programs, posters, banners, schedule cards, website, advertisements, brochures, invitations).

Development

Description:
The development office focuses on building relationships with prospective and current donors and generating the funds for athletics grant-in-aid, capital campaigns, and scholarships for student-athletes in all 36 varsity sports. It strives to embrace and engage the most dedicated Buckeye fans within the OSU community to further promote the passion and camaraderie that makes the university so unique.

Event Management

Description:
The event management staff is responsible for organizing, planning and hosting all athletic events, practices, competitions and any other events that utilize our athletic facilities. This group is also in charge of hosting NCAA and conference championships.

Facilities

Description:
The facilities operations is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all athletic facilities and fields as well as identifying facility needs and upgrades. This office also is heavily involved in the development and design of new facilities, renovations and improvements. It is this department’s goal to maintain and manage the workings of the Ohio State Athletics Facilities to the highest degree of perfection.

Fan Experience

Description:
The marketing and promotions staff is responsible for helping increase awareness and attendance at our athletic events and creating a remarkable experience for our fans who attend our events.

Human Resources

Description:
The human resource department manages all human resource policies that impact our Department of Athletics staff and related processes (e.g., hiring new staff, implementing raises and benefits for staff).

Human Resources

Description:
The information technology staff is responsible for handling all technological issues (e.g., computers, printers, iPhones, iPads for staff and student-athletes) and resolves related problems.

LiFE Sports

Description:
LiFE Sports partners with the Department of Sociology to host summer sports camps for underprivileged youth from Columbus City Schools.

Description:

Description:
Sports nutrition aims to help individuals prepare and recover from athletic training and sports activities by providing nutrition guidance to maintain healthy physical conditions. Description:
The sports performance area focuses on several areas that impact the lives of our student-athletes (e.g., strength and conditioning, athletic training, medical staff, sports nutrition and sports psychology).

Description:
The ticket office is responsible for the ordering, processing, distribution and reconciliation of all ticket purchases to our athletic events and provides exceptional customer service to our fans.

Description:

Description:

Description:
The mission of the Todd Anthony Bell National Resource Center on the African American Male is to examine and address critical issues in society that impact the quality of life for African American males throughout the lifespan. The Center plans to achieve these goals by conducting robust research studies and evaluations that inform social policy and theory on African American males and developing research-based programs, models, and initiatives that could be replicated at other institutions. University Compliance

Description:
The Ohio State University established the Office of University Compliance and Integrity (OUCI) to oversee compliance efforts across the university, including compliance in Research, the Medical Center, Athletics, Environmental Health and Safety, Information Security, Title IX, Clery Act reporting, Ohio Public Records law and the Americans with Disabilities Act. In a university setting, compliance is less about regulating individual behavior than it is about understanding applicable regulatory requirements that apply to university activities as an institution and ensuring that we meet them.
