COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State pistol team (12-1) won the Winter Open event shooting an open score of 6,288. The Citadel was second at 6,220, with Community finishing third at 6,216 and Missouri State fourth with 5,526. Buckeye Tyler Phillips was OSU’s only open champion winning the open air title with a personal high of 556. Alex Pederson won the open free title for Missouri State with a 514 and Joe Totts, with a 569 open standard score won the event shooting for the Community. Totts captured the three-gun aggregate title with a 1,603. Henry Dominick of the Citadel was second at 1,600 and Buckeye Kelsey Imig took third with a 1,583.

In the women’s events, Ohio State defeated The Citadel, 2,716 to 2,372 to remain undefeated at 7-0. Imig was the top shooter in women’s sport with a 567. She also finished first in the two-gun aggregate with a 916. Erin Meadows was second at 898. Debbie Remele finished first in women’s sport with a 362.

Ohio State will host the Mid-West Sectional, Feb. 5-6. The event is the qualifier for the Collegiate National Championship, March 16-20 at Ft. Benning, Georgia.
