COLUMBUS, Ohio – Sunday, 48 current and former Buckeye student-athletes will officially receive their Ohio State degrees at 2016 Autumn Commencement at the Schottenstein Center. The list of graduates include national champions, All-Americans and academic standouts.
J.T. Barrett and Tyquan Lewis are ready to help lead the Buckeyes to the College Football Playoffs at the end of the month. Barrett is a two-time Big Ten Conference Quarterback of the Year while going 26-3 as a starting quarterback. Lewis is the 2016 Big Ten Defensive Lineman of the Year after leading the team with 10.0 tackles-for-loss and 7.5 quarterback sacks.
Shane Olivea, another football Buckeye, was a member of our 2002 national championship team and is part of Ohio State’s degree completion program.
Richard (Alex) Johnson, a member of the Buckeyes’ men’s gymnastics team, won the NCAA title on high bar this spring, becoming the second athlete in program history to do so.
Donovan Robertson from the men’s track and field team is the school record-holder with a 7.85 60-meter hurdle time and ranks second in Ohio State history with a 13.62 in the 110-meter hurdles.
Ameryst Alston, a three-time first team All-Big Ten pick, is the fourth-leading scorer in Ohio State women’s basketball history with over 2,100 points.
Cammi Prantl, an All-American on the Ohio State softball team, became the program’s all-time leader with 64 career doubles and 247 hits.
