COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State University men’s golf team is among the Top-5 squads in the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate, even with Nebraska for fourth place at 31-over (599). Daniel Wetterich is 18 holes away from registering his third straight Top-10 individual finish. The sophomore enters Sunday tied for sixth place out of 81 players.
Wetterich posted back-to-back 73’s to clear Clark Engle and his 6-over total by two shots for the team lead. Engle, competing as an individual, is slotted T-14th. Will Grimmer and Caleb Ramirez are nipping at his heels, both coming in at 7-over after posting alternating scores of 74-75 by Grimmer and a 75-74 line for Ramirez. The latter OSU duo is tied for 17th place.
Jack Mancinotti, Max Rosenthal and Addison Coll – all representing Ohio State as individuals — are inside the upper half of the leaderboard. Mancinotti carded a 9-over 151 on Day One to tie for 28th place. Rosenthal is 11-over (T-35th) while Coll wrapped up the day at 12-over (T-39th).
