Final Results

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s golf team concluded the Lady Northern Invitational in second with a 54-hole score of 892. Surveying their future Big Ten championship course and competition, the Buckeyes carded a third round score of 309 on the par 71, 6,037-yard Donald Ross Golf Course in French Lick, Ind.

Moving up to take first was UCF who carded a team score of 887. On the individual leaderboard, Michigan’s Meagan Bauer took medalist honors with an even 54-hole score of 213 to secure first place by a 4-stroke margin.

Leading Ohio State was freshman Kendall Prince who concluded the two-day event in fifth at 221. After day one marks of 73-67, Prince struggled in day two with an 81, but was able to hold on and remain in the Top 5.

Notching two birdies throughout the day, junior Amy Meier fired a final round of 73 to tie for eighth at 224.

Each totaling 225, juniors Susan Benavides and Rachel Rohanna tied for 11th. Benavides carded a score of 79, while Rohanna fired a round of 76.

Rounding out the Buckeye lineup was senior Vicky Villanueva who tied for 33rd at 232 after a final round of 82.

Freshman Jan Chanpalangsri, the Buckeye’s individual competitor, also fired an 82 to tie for 41st at 235.

The Buckeyes will conclude their fall slate at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C., Oct. 28-30.
