The 2004-05 Ohio State men’s basketball team participated in the 21st Annual Mid-Ohio Walk to Cure Diabetes Sunday at Easton.

More than 3,000 people participated in the event to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, whose goal is to help find a cure for diabetes.

Worldwide, the event raised almost $75 million last year for diabetes research.

The entire Ohio State men’s basketball team participated by signing autographs, posing for photographs and taking part in the walk.

The Buckeyes begin practice for the 2004-05 season Oct. 16 under new head coach Thad Matta. The team opens Nov. 15 in the first round of the 2004 Guardians Classic at Value City Arena against Towson University.
