Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s swimming team launched its regular season with a 174-84 victory over Division III power Kenyon College Friday in a meet at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
“It’s great to see some good competition again. I thought our team competed well and raced well tonight. The most important thing we wanted to do was to get a lot of people a lot of swims,” said Ohio State head coach Bill Wadley. “Overall, I’m very pleased with our effort tonight, especially the freshmen.”
Duplicate winners for the Buckeyes were senior Andrew Elliott in the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke and as the leadoff of the 200 medley relay; freshman Tamas Gercsak in the 200 butterfly, 200 breaststroke and 200 IM; sophomore Alex Miller in the 500 and 100 free.
