COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State rifle team competed at the Civilian Marksmanship Program Open Air Rifle competition, Jan. 16-17, at Camp Perry in Port Clinton, Ohio. The two-day air rifle event included 118 shooters including the U.S. National Team, The Army Marksmanship Unit, collegiate teams from Alaska, Michigan State, Michigan and Ohio State.

Fourteen Ohio State student athletics took part in the event with three finishing in the top 20. Amanda Furrer was 10th with a 1,274 aggregate score. Nick Novello was 14th at 1,260.6 and Robert Mangaudis finished 16th at 1,252.8.

Ohio State returns to collegiate competition, Jan. 24 when they will face the U.S. Military Academy at Palmyra, Pa.
