COLUMBUS, Ohio –The trio of Esther Clotet, Casey Cole, and Kelsey Nolan has garnered Big Ten preseason recognition, the conference announced on Monday.
Clotet, who received preseason honors in 2017, was the second leading scorer last season with five goals and third overall with three assists and 13 points. The junior started 17 games last season notched three game-winning goals for the Buckeyes during the 2017 campaign.
Cole enters her senior season having played in all 55 games of her career at Ohio State and starting in 54. She tied for fourth-most points on the team last season, scoring two goals and two assists for six points. Both of her goals scored were game winners.
Nolan played in all 19 games last season for the Buckeyes, totaling 12 shots and earning a .417 shot-on-goal percentage. The senior from Lancaster, Pa. netted one goal for the Buckeyes in the 2017 season-opening shutout over Lehigh on Aug. 27.
The Buckeyes open the regular season in Columbus on Friday, Aug. 24 against Delaware at 4:00 p.m.
