OHIO STATE OF LATE
Ohio State recorded its third-consecutive Top 5 finish when it finished fifth at the Clemson Invitational at The Reserve at Lake Keowee in Sunset, S.C., March 23-25. Junior Niki Schroeder led the Buckeyes at 4-under to tie for 12th, her best finish since placing 11th at Big Ten Championships last April. A native of Avon Lake, Ohio, Schroeder followed up an opening-round 69 Friday before a 1-under 71 Saturday and an even-par 72 in the final round Sunday. Sophomore Adeena Shears finished right behind her in a tie for 15th at 3-under, matching Schroeder in the final two rounds after an opening-round 70. The tournament marked Shears’ third Top 25 finish of the season.
