There was a reason that during this year’s ITA Kickoff Weekend draft that the Columbus site was the final site to be filled. The Buckeyes have been dominant at home during that opening weekend.
Each of the last nine seasons, Ohio State has hosted an ITA Kickoff Weekend qualifier and each season, the Buckeyes have advanced to the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. Last year, OSU downed both Utah and Old Dominion 4-0 and then went onto to finish runner-up to Virginia at the final site
The Buckeyes have won the National Team Indoor Championship one time, in 2014, and have reached the semifinals a total of eight times.
This year, the Buckeyes will host Yale on Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. and then will play either North Florida or Tulsa on Sunday. The advancing team will head to Seattle, Wash., for the indoor championships Feb. 16-19.
