COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State field hockey team is concluding its spring season back at Buckeye Varsity Field this weekend with the Ohio Cup April 21. Ohio University, Kent State and Miami (Ohio) will be the participating teams in the Ohio Cup along with the Buckeyes.
The opening game for the Buckeyes will be a matchup against Ohio University at 9:00 a.m. Following this game, Kent State will be competing against Miami of Ohio at 10:45 a.m. Depending on who wins, the winners of the two opening games will move on and face each other in the Championship Game at 1:45 p.m. The other two teams will be playing for 3rd place in their game at 12:30 p.m.
All games will be 11-on-11 matchups and play 35-minute halves. If tied, the games will go directly to a shootout.
All games hosted at Buckeye Varsity Field are free of charge. There also are a number of excellent opportunities to sign up for Buckeye field hockey camps this spring.
