COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 6-ranked (preseason USA Today Coaches’ Poll) Ohio State Buckeyes displayed effort and plenty of enthusiastic play throughout their kick scrimmage Wednesday in a muggy Ohio Stadium. The team competed under mostly overcast skies that finally opened up the last 30 minutes of the practice.
After the scrimmage, which the Gray team won, 27-24, six specialists stayed around to address media questions, including punter/holder Jon Thoma, punter/kicker Ben Buchanan, kickers Aaron Pettrey and Devin Barclay and long snappers Jake McQuaide and Patrick Howe.
