COLUMBUS, Ohio – Team USA, including Ohio State sophomores Tom Fritsche, Ian Keserich and Domenic Maiani, ended the U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp in Lake Placid, N.Y. with a 7-1 record. Over the weekend, USA White downed Sweden (3-1) and Finland (3-2), while USA Blue beat Finland (5-0) and lost to Sweden in a shootout (4-3).

The camp including 42 under-20 athletes eligible for a spot on the 2006 U.S. National Junior Team, with the athletes split into two teams (Blue and White).

After playing for Team Blue the first two games of the camp, Fritsche and Maiani were placed on Team White for the final games. Against Sweden Friday, Fritsche scored a goal, while Maiani scored the gamewinner against Finland Saturday.

Keserich remained with Team Blue, stopping all 13 shots he saw against Finland Friday in 29:38 to help preserve the shutout. Against Sweden Saturday, Keserich stopped 15-of-15 shots in 30:28 of regulation.
