SUNSET, S.C. – The Ohio State women’s golf team sits fourth at 10-under after the second round of the Clemson Invitational Saturday at The Reserve at Lake Keowee. Furman leads at 26-under followed by Clemson at 17-under, Michigan State at 15-under and the Buckeyes at 10-under.
Junior Niki Schroeder followed up an opening-round 69 with a 1-under 71 and sits in a tie for 10th at 4-under while senior Rio Watanabe and sophomore Adeena Shears are in a tie for 15th at 3-under. Junior Jaclyn Lee is tied for 35th at 2-over, sophomore Alex Wright is tied for 42nd and freshman Sofia Seldemirova, competing as an individual, is tied for 67th at 8-over.
As a team, the Buckeyes are tied for second in Par-3 scoring at 4-under and tied for third in Par-5 scoring at 5-under. Ohio State is tied for the most pars through two rounds with 128.
Individually, Shears is tied for fourth in Par-4 scoring at 2-under while Watanabe is tied for the most pars with 30 and has one of just five eagles through two rounds.
