COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State carded a final round 291 and jumped up one spot to finish in fourth place at the 47th Robert Kepler Intercollegiate at the OSU Golf Club’s Scarlet Course.
Jeg Coughlin III posted the round of the day for the Buckeyes as he carded a final round 2-under 69 on Sunday. He opened with nine-straight pars before holing a nice birdie putt on No. 10 to start an interesting closing nine. He made four birdies, two bogies and three pars coming home to jump 12 spots into a tie for 11th.
Will Grimmer matched Coughlin III for the tournament, also finishing tied for 11th with rounds of 73-71-72.
Daniel Wetterich followed his second round 73 with another 73 on Sunday and finished tied for 17th. This was his fifth top-20 finish of the year.
Will Voetsch carded a final round 77 and finished the tournament at 6-over par and tied for 21st. Redshirt-senior Josh Wick also came in with a 6-over 77 on Sunday to finish in a tie for 71st.
Individually for the Buckeyes, Justin Wick tied his second-lowest round of the year with a 71 and finished tied for 23rd. Jack Mancinotti, playing his first tournament of the year, capped a solid weekend with a final round 71, the second-lowest of his career, and he finished a shot behind Wick at 8-over par.
Caden Orewiler finished-up with a final round 75, Caleb Ramirez had a 77 and Kevin Stone posted an 82.
The was the final regular season event for the Buckeyes as they now head to the Big Ten Championship next weekend at the Baltimore Country Club. Ohio State finished third last year on the same course while Will Grimmer tied for second, just a shot out of first place.
