COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s golf team finished 10th after final round action Sunday at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, N.C. The tournament was played at the Country Club of Landfall Jack Nicklaus: Marsh-Ocean Course (par 72, 6,992).

Ohio State sophomore Michael Haverfield (Louisville, Ky./St. Xavier) was Ohio State’s best individual. He finished tied for 15th place (76-72-74-222).

Texas A&M was the team champion (294-295-281=870), 10 shots better than Coastal Carolina (880). Individually, Coastal Carolina’s Dustin Johnson claimed medalist honors with a 5-under par 211 (73-72-66) for the tournament.

After five fall tournaments, the Buckeyes will take the winter off from competition and resume with the spring-season opener at the Gator Invitational Feb. 18-19 in Gainesville, Fla.
