COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s swimming and diving team continued post-season action with the World Championships Trials in Indianapolis, Ind., Saturday with Nate King and R.J. Lemyre competing in the 100-meter backstroke. The sophomores each earned berths to the 2008 United States Olympic Time Trials by recording times that met the 57.99 time cut.

King (Youngstown, Ohio/Warren Harding) began the day with a preliminary time of 57.60 and improved upon his time to clock 56.96 in the finals and finish 11th in the B final. Lemyre (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) finished 23rd with a time of 58.42. Earlier in preliminaries, Lemyre recorded an Olympic cut time of 57.71.

Select members of the Buckeyes squad will continue to compete in the World Championship Trials until April 5, 2005. Complete results of the entire meet are available at www.usaswimming.org.
