COLUMBUS, Ohio – On the third and final day of competition at the USF Invitational, the Ohio State men’s golf team competed to a 10th-place finish. The Buckeyes carded a 6-under 858 overall, including a 9-under 279 in the third round on the par 72, 7,153-yard South Course at the Lake Jovita Golf and Country Club in Dade City, Fla.

With an eagle and five birdies, sophomore Max Rosenthal played his best round of the invitational on the final day. He pulled through with a 3-under 69, bringing his total to 3-under 213 for 22nd. Freshman Clark Engle also ranked in the 22nd spot after going 1-under 71 in the third. In all, 14 birdies and an impressive two eagles fueled his 3-under 213 performance for the tournament.

Junior Boo Timko was yet another Buckeye to put forth his best score in the third round, dropping a 3-under 69 with an eagle and five birdies. Timko finished in 52nd-place tie with a 2-over 218.

Freshman Frederik Hammer rebounded with a 2-under 70 third round. He recorded five birdies on the day, fueling his 55th-place effort in the individual standings. Overall, Hammer carded a 3-over 219.

Also representing Ohio State was sophomore Tee-k Kelly, who tied for 66th with a 5-over 221. Kelly shot an even 72 in the third, while posting five birdies for the day.

Up next, the Scarlet and Gray will suit up for the Seahawk Invitational March 15-16 in Willington, North Carolina.
