COLUMBUS, Ohio – Rising junior Minttu Tuominen and former Buckeyes Tessa Bonhomme and Lisa Chesson of the Ohio State women’s hockey team are representing their respective countries at the 2011 IIHF Twelve Nations Invitational Tournament August 24-Sept. 4 in Finland. Tuominen is skating with Team Finland, while Bonhomme is with Team Canada and Chesson with Team USA.

Competition began today with Team Canada earning a 16-0 victory over Switzerland. Bonhomme tallied a pair of goals in the game, scoring the team’s ninth and 15th goals in the third period. Finland captured a 7-0 victory over Japan and Team USA blanked Russia, 12-0.

Play continues tomorrow, Aug. 25, for all three teams. Finland opens the day with a game against Slovakia, Canada faces Russia and USA takes on Japan.
