COLUMBUS, Ohio – Six different Buckeyes scored to lead the Ohio State (1-0) men’s hockey team to a 6-0 win over Wayne State (0-1) Saturday in their season opener at the Value City Arena.

Miguel Lafleche (Fr., Crysler, Ont.) got the Bucks on the scoreboard with a goal 2:03 into the game. Nick Ganga (So., Long Beach, Calif.) and Jean-Francis Dufour (Jr., Bedford, Que.) also tallied in the first period.

The Buckeyes’ Louie Colsant (Sr., Palatine, Ill.) scored a four-on-four goal 4:39 into the second period to go up 4-0. Eric Maloche (Sr., Rosemere, Que.) added a power play goal less than three minutes later and Mike McCormick (So., Peterborough, Ont.) finished the scoring with a tally with at 12:19.

Ray Aho (Sr., Allen Park, Mich.) was in goal for the first two periods and Peter Wishloff (Fr., Oakville, Ont.) played the last period to record the shutout for Ohio State. Each goalie had 12 saves.

Ohio State will face Windsor in an exhibition game Sunday at 2:05 p.m. at Value City Arena.
