COLUMBUS, Ohio The Ohio State rowing team signed two student-athletes to National Letters of Intent for the 2008-09 season, head coach Andy Teitelbaum announced. Ellen Heister, a native of Bristol, Conn., and Allison Morlock, an Ohio product from Waterville, are the two future Buckeyes who have committed during the early signing period.

Morlock has rowed for Anthony Wayne High School all three years and will conclude her career with the Generals this season as a senior. Morlock is interested in majoring in history or political science upon her arrival at Ohio State.

Heister has rowed during the spring season for Miss Porter’s School. In addition to rowing, Heister is a swimmer, as well as a cross country runner. She plans to study anthropology at Ohio State.

The Buckeyes will get the 2008 season underway when they compete in the Windermere Real Estate Collegiate Classic March 29-30 in Redwood City, Calif.
