The Buckeye Club is happy to announce the second Buckeye Lunch Date on Monday, April 25th, offered exclusively to Ohio State supporters in the Cleveland area. We hope you will join us for this rare opportunity to sit down with members of the Ohio State coaching staff and discuss Buckeye sports.
The Lunch Date will take place from 12pm-1pm at Greenhouse Tavern and will feature members of the Ohio State wrestling and football staff as keynote speakers.
Wrestling Head Coach, Tom Ryan, will join us to touch on the team’s progress and the upcoming season. Coach Ryan, the 2009 National Coach of the Year, has lead our Buckeyes to two National runner-up finishes, produced 15 All-Americans and coached three NCAA individual champions. With a Top-10 national recruiting class last year, Coach Ryan will discuss the bright future of Ohio State wrestling.
From our football staff, we will be joined by Cornerbacks Coach Taver Johnson. Coach Johnson, a native of southwest Ohio, is a graduate of Wittenberg University, where he was a two-time All American and back-to-back North Coast Athletics Conference Defensive Player of the Year. After coaching stints at Notre Dame and Miami (OH), Coach Johnson came to Ohio State where he has developed NFL talent such as All-American Kurt Coleman and Thorpe Award winner Malcolm Jenkins. Coach Johnson will discuss his experiences coaching around the state, as well as the upcoming season.
Space is limited for this open forum and luncheon, so if you would like to join us, please RSVP by emailing Mitch Straub.
