COLUMBUS, Ohio-Ohio State sophomore Jason Rogers (So., Los Angeles, Calif./Brentwood) is ranked No. 1 in the recent Men’s Sabre Junior World Rankings. Sisters Hanna Thompson (So., Rochester, N.Y./East) and Metta Thompson (So., Rochester, N.Y./East) are ranked No. 3 and No. 5, respectively, in the Junior Women’s Foil U.S. Rankings released by US Fencing.

Rogers tied for third at the Junior World Cup in Louisville, Ky., earlier in the month. In women’s foil, Hanna Thompson tied for third and Metta Thompson placed ninth.

The Ohio State fencing team will begin its season Nov. 17 at the OSU Dual Meets held at the Larkins Hall. The Buckeyes finished fourth at the NCAA Championships in March, its highest finish ever.
