COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State field hockey forward Curlyne Wynn earned Offensive Big Ten Player of the Week accolades for the week of Sept. 13 following strong acts against Kent State (Sept. 7) and Miami (Ohio) (Sept. 10).

The 2003 Big Ten Freshman of the Year helped lead the Buckeyes (3-2; 0-0 Big Ten) to a spotless week in which they defeated the Golden Flashes, 3-1 and RedHawks, 4-0.

Wynn (So., Trincity, Trinidad and Tobago/North Eastern College) scored the Buckeyes’ final goal in the 3-1 victory over Kent State. After scoring her first goal of the 2004 season against KSU, Wynn followed with a two-goal performance against Miami (Ohio), marking the second-consecutive year she has netted two goals against the RedHawks.

Wynn is second on the team in goals (3) and points (6) and has started every 2004 Buckeye contest. The Big Ten weekly honor is the first in her career.

Wynn will be participating in a live chat session at ohiostatebuckeyes.com at noon Friday. Fans will have a chance to submit questions before and/or during the session.

Ohio State returns to action at 2 p.m. Sunday when it faces the Ball State Cardinals at North Turf Field in Columbus, Ohio.
