SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. Ohioans Marcus Freeman (Huber Heights) and A.J. Trapasso (Pickerington) have spent enough time in the Valley of the Sun during their Buckeye football careers to qualify for “snowbird” residency. Today, in another of our multi-part series with various members of the Ohio State team, the two share some thoughts on the 2008-09 bowl season.
BCS bowl game match-up you are most interested in watching?
A.J.: Orange Bowl, Cincinnati vs. Virginia Tech. I think my boys at UC will take care of business.
Non-BCS game(s) that have the potential to be fun to watch?
Marcus: Capital One Michigan State and Georgia.
A.J.: Connecticut against Buffalo. Bowl season is great for the football junkies.
Entering the bowl season there were two unbeaten BCS teams: Utah and Boise State. Who wins had they been matched?
Oklahoma or Florida?
What moments or plays or personalities stand out from the first two Ohio State vs. Texas games?
Marcus: In ’05, Vince Young, and in ’06, Teddy (Ginn)’s touchdown from Troy (Smith).
A.J.: Just the excitement.
Is there any Southwestern food that you can’t wait to dig into while in Arizona?
A.J.: Not especially.
What is the University of Phoenix Stadium like?
