COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten women’s basketball Foreign Tour Team suffered its first loss of a five-game tour of Europe, falling 74-65 to Sopron BBC on Wednesday in Sopron, Hungary.

Sopron BBC jumped out quickly, using its experience and size to grab a 41-24 lead at halftime. The Big Ten team closed to within six in the second half, but got no closer as Sopron BBC held on for the nine-point win. Wisconsin’s Tamara Moore led the Big Ten squad with 15 points and four steals. Ohio State’s D’wan Shackleford (So., Newark, Ohio/Newark) scored two points and grabbed two rebounds in the loss.

The Big Ten Foreign Tour Team, now 3-1 on its tour, concludes the tour Thursday with a rematch with Sopron BBC.
