COLUMBUS, Ohio – Jessica Porvasnik was selected as the Big Ten Golfer of the Week Wednesday (Feb. 10), announced the conference following the opening week of competition in 2016. It marks Porvasnik’s third career B1G weekly honor. She earned the conference accolade as a freshman, sophomore and now once again during her junior campaign.

Porvasnik bested 28 of Golfstat’s top-100 players at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge — a tournament which featured 11 Golfstat top-25 schools competing. The Hinckley, Ohio native tied for 13th overall after leaping 19 slots on the final day, firing a 3-under 68 closing round. She finished as one of just four players to shoot 68 or better throughout the entire event. Medalist Monica Vaughn from Arizona State posted a 65 while Porvasnik matched two others for next best at 68.
