COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Big Ten women’s basketball Foreign Tour Team ended its five-game tour of Europe with a 96-66 loss to Sopron BBC Thursday in Sopron, Hungary.

The Big Ten squad got off to a good start in the contest, jumping out to a 33-30 halftime lead. But Sopron BBC came to life after the break, doubling up the Big Ten team, 66-33, in the second half en route to the 30-point victory.

Iowa’s Cara Consuegra led the Big Ten team with 11 points in the defeat. Ohio State’s D’wan Shackleford (So., Newark, Ohio/Newark) put up a solid all-around performance, scoring eight points while grabbing six rebounds and notching one steal.

The Big Ten Foreign Tour Team finished 3-2 on the tour.
